Turkey Casserole Surprise
package wide egg noodles
(can substitute ground beef or ground chicken)
cans condensed tomato soup
ground black pepper
grated cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 425° F.
Cook noodles according to package directions, then drain.
Spray a sauté pan with cooking spray over medium heat until hot.
Add onion and ground turkey.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned.
Spray 13”x9” baking dish with cooking spray.
Place noodles in bottom of baking dish.
Spread half of the cheese over the noodles and top with the browned meat.
Evenly spread the peas over the meat, if using.
Combine the tomato soup, water, and ground pepper; pour over entire pan.
Top with other half of cheddar cheese.
Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350° F.
Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Refrigerate leftovers immediately.
