Turkey Casserole Surprise – Confidence

Turkey Casserole Surprise

  • 1 12 ounce package wide egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 pound ground turkey (can substitute ground beef or ground chicken)
  • 2 10.7 ounce cans condensed tomato soup
  • 2 Cups water
  • tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 Cups grated cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 can peas optional
  • Cooking Spray


To start:

  • Preheat oven to 425° F.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions, then drain.
  • Spray a sauté pan with cooking spray over medium heat until hot.
  • Add onion and ground turkey.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned.
  • Spray 13”x9” baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Place noodles in bottom of baking dish.
  • Spread half of the cheese over the noodles and top with the browned meat.
  • Evenly spread the peas over the meat, if using.
  • Combine the tomato soup, water, and ground pepper; pour over entire pan.
  • Top with other half of cheddar cheese.


  • Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350° F.
  • Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.


Serving suggestions:
Refrigerate leftovers immediately.
